This can improve resilience, but only when the organization has enough volume and management capacity to support the additional complexity.

Diversification also creates cost. Two-country sourcing can require duplicate supplier approval, additional PP samples, more color matching, separate quality systems, extra production visits, more logistics coordination, and more complicated origin documentation.
