A Controlled Pastel Color Approval Process
Color approval moves through physical standards and recorded decisions. Each stage reduces the chance of a beautiful sample becoming an inconsistent bulk order.
Define the Physical Color Standard
Development begins with a Pantone reference, approved fabric swatch, original garment, lab dip target or another physical color standard. Digital images can support discussion, but screen settings and photography conditions are not reliable enough to become the only bulk reference.
The project record should identify the shade name, reference number, fabric type, expected surface, intended lining and the lighting used for approval. A blush shade approved on matte crepe cannot be assumed to look identical on satin or chiffon. Each fabric direction needs its own visual review.
